Welcome to Whitley Bay Comrades Club
A members’ club on the seafront since 1920, facing The Links and St Mary’s Lighthouse. Our members come from the local communities and from as far away as Slovakia, Norway and Dubai.

Regular nights
- Music nights: 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, 8pm
- Bingo: every Tuesday, 2pm, and generally fortnightly on Saturdays, 8pm
- Texas Hold’em poker: every Thursday, 7pm
- Live football on the screens
The Poppy Auction
Pride of place in the Club goes to a Flanders Poppy in a glass case, one of six made in 1923 and, we believe, the only one to survive. It has been auctioned every year since 1923, and the proceeds go to the Royal British Legion.
